Ensure suppliers maintain all regulations and requirements.
Creating and update a supplier database with updated records of performance.
Review guidelines for product assembly and ensure all materials and resources are available.
Create quality control guidelines and protocols.
Train new employees, suppliers, and vendors on quality assurance procedures and protocols.
Provide advice to vendors on how to reduce defect rates.
Perform logistics tasks, such as communicating with vendors when supplies don't meet quality standards.
Assess products and supplies from vendors to ensure their quality.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with requirements and guidelines.
Create and promote strategies to increase the quality and efficiency of systems and products.
Conduct audits of quality systems.
Complete system maintenance when necessary.
Research the best vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors for supply acquisition.
Act as a liaison between vendors and company leaders, determining solutions to any challenges to quality standards.
Visit vendor facilities to ensure they uphold quality standards.
Lead other employees involved in assessing supplier quality standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Specific Skills
Experienced in Six Sigma projects.
Experience in Product Quality.
Experience in SPC implementation.
Experience in Supplier Management: Strong skills in relationship building with suppliers and creating and maintaining records. This involves assessing supplier suitability and negotiating contracts.
Software skills: There are various programs that SQEs use to organize data, perform assessment tests, oversee production output, and coordinate employees. Proficiency in a range of software.
Experienced in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Experienced in creating, implementing, updating, and teaching DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
Experienced in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Experienced in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
