Avo Photonics (www.avophotonics.com) is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.
We seek a diligent, dedicated, and meticulous person who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule to meet project deadlines, keep multiple records, be self-motivated and detail oriented, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Specifically:
Train and manage Engineers who are designing, developing, and improving the products made
Ensure production processes are properly documented
Diagnose and resolve problems that impact product quality and production throughput
Manage qualification of material and process changes
Review statistical process control data; analyze and respond as appropriate
Oversee disposition and handling of quarantined material, subassemblies, and product
Represent Avo in technical communications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or other technical field
7 years of experience in the photonics industry
6 years of engineering management experience
Ability to be adaptive
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to manage technical personnel
Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills
