Job Description:


The Sherwood Companies have a proven track record of completing a variety of projects from General Construction, to Construction Management and Design Build Projects for both public and private owners. A brief summary of the types of projects include, urban expressways, bridges, underground utilities, dam construction, asphalt/concrete paving and water/wastewater treatment plants.


Wildcat has the ability to self-perform many types of civil construction including earthwork and site prep, concrete and asphalt paving, civil and structural concrete, rock excavation, piling and sheet piling, sub-grade stabilization, and water/waste-water treatment facilities. We also have a tremendous amount of experience with all underground utilities including sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, and main electrical distribution.
















































ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE



Project Controls Manager:


·         Develops and maintains a detailed construction schedule, in coordination with the Project Manager


·         Develops and ensures adherence to schedule quality plan and procedures


·         Assists Project Manager with ad hoc cost and schedule reporting


·         Documents all changes and adverse conditions


·         Trains and develops staff on project controls “best practices”


·         Manages quantity tracking for internal and external reporting


·         Assists Project Manager with project financial review and monthly cost-to-complete entry


·         Manages project T&M process and billing with Project Superintendent


·         Audits project management system for check for adherence with document control plan


·         Reviews contract documents and specifications to ensure project alignment


·         Prepares monthly reporting and pay applications, in coordination with the Project Manager


·         Assists safety manager with establishing and improving safety reporting


·         Establish and maintain working relationships clients, designers, inspectors, and other partners from preconstruction through construction and project closeout


·         Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



·       Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent experience; and,


·       4+ years of working on civil/heavy/highway/industrial/water-wastewater construction projects, with 2+ years in a project controls role; or,


·       In lieu of education, 6+ years of working on civil/heavy/highway/industrial/water-wastewater construction projects, with 4+ years in a project controls role



PREFERRED - EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES



·       Water/Wastewater construction project experience


·       Experience on construction projects in excess of $50M


·       Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)


·       Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Design-Build Professional (DBIA), Project Management Professional (PMP)


·       Use of Bid2Win or similar cost estimating system


·       Experience in developing and maintaining preconstruction and construction schedules (P6 preferred)


·       Experience with construction Project Management software (Procore or ProjectSight preferred)


·       Experience with construction financial software/ERPs (Penta or Vista preferred)


·       Alternative Delivery experience


·       Track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships beyond a single project


·       OSHA 30-hour
