Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our clients growing RNG business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, with a focus on renewable energy or related industries such as Oil & Gas or Chemical engineering. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our production facilities, optimizing processes, and driving operational efficiency to meet and exceed company goals.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and drive sustainable growth.
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of RNG production facilities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Resource Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and maximize output through effective planning and resource allocation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permits governing RNG production, environmental protection, and workplace safety.
Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, finance, and sales teams, to align operations with business objectives and customer requirements.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and optimize costs.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in operational processes, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, implement appropriate controls, and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the Oil & Gas or biogas industry.
Proven track record of leadership and success in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of RNG production processes, equipment, and technology.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in environmental, health, and safety management.
