Senior Superintendent - San Francisco, CA - Base Salary: $180K - $220K
Senior Project Superintendent with 10+ years of progressive field leadership experience within technical construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Shares responsible alongside Project Manager for the overall success of the project and a key participant in the development of employees and promoting company policies while providing the core leadership required to guide the project team from start-to-finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Knows the life science product development life cycle from research to commercialization
Understands the differences in the facility needs of the different types of spaces
Has experience building development, pilot, and manufacturing spaces (if only one, then manufacturing under cGMP regulations)
This person worked as a GC, but could have been an executive or estimator/PM at a process engineer/piping company
If a Super, could come from the process piping discipline (might be an Asst. Super if no GC experience)
Would prefer someone who has experience and is comfortable in client interview and pre-project settings
Ideally a bay area local
Ideally someone with steady employment, not a bouncer
Need to understand the design - detailing - prefabrication steps and impacts on overall construction timelines
Team player who enjoys teaching and developing staff
Promote and able to execute efficient operational execution of a project as a leader.
Develop and maintain project schedule with company process' including monthly, weekly look ahead and lean principles.
Review project status in the field and with staff to maintain a deep understanding of the field.
Project resources for quality, safety, schedule, constructability, and risk avoidance.
Qualifications:
4-year degree preferred
10 years of experience in field.
Large ground-up construction experience from preconstruction to completion.
Lead internal and project teams for huddles, trade partners, OAC to align objectives and priorities.
Scheduling capabilities in P6: development, maintenance, and monthly updates.
Monitor and provide direction on all jobsite safety procedures.
Experience managing self-performed work.
Mentoring, learning and developing of team members.
Market and safety certifications as appropriate.
Experience in yearly market segment.
Positive attitude and maintaining unity with a team.
