PAS Central Scheduler Trainer, 40 Hours Day Shift at Salem Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Responsible for training and orienting new employees to the Central Scheduling department. When the department does not have new hires requiring training, this position will handle a high volume of incoming calls from both physician's offices and patients. Will schedule, re-schedule, update and change patient appointments in a timely manner. As the on the job trainer for the Central Scheduling Department, this role will provide menorship, relationship building, and continued education to all employees.



Qualifications

Required:

• Computer Skills, Good Communication Skills, Relationship Building Skills, Ability to work independently in a confidential home environment.


• High School diploma or GED.

• Prior medical office, Patient Access or hospital administrative experience


• Two years experience in a physician's office setting with scheduling responsibilities or in a health care environment. Ability to type swiftly and accurately with strong spelling while on the phone with patients and provider offices.


• Medical Terminology Background
