Advertised Job Summary
The University of South Carolina Sumter invites applications to a full-time, instructor position to begin January 2024 or August 2024. A Master's degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Chemistry is required at the time of appointment. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is required. The successful candidate should be able to teach either general, fundamental, and/or organic chemistry at the undergraduate level. The teaching load will be twelve contact hours per semester. Student advising, mentoring and participation on campus committees are expected. Salary at least $50,580 or USDOL prevailing wage rate in effect at time of offer, depending on qualifications.

The successful candidate should be able to teach either general, fundamental, and/or organic chemistry at the undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience at the higher education level.
