Arcadis is currently searching for an entry-level Energy Auditor / Planner to support our energy efficiency services group in our Clifton Park, NY office. Projects include program support for state and federal energy efficiency services, industrial process efficiency and public energy policy.

We are looking for a motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and the desire and willingness to learn and assist New York State residential, commercial, industrial and municipal entities with solutions to energy-efficiency. Primary duties will include implementing project controls and scheduling to achieve programmatic goals on individual assignments.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Perform review of investment grade reports outlining energy efficiency measures and follow-up measurement and verification of energy efficiency measures.
* Work with the client to find the most effective strategies to reduce energy usage and demand.
* Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary recommendations to senior staff.
* Interact with engineering staff for Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
* Use a wide variety of evaluation procedures such as making inquiries, observing activities, research and testing to interpret information and provide recommendations.
* Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.
* Work both as a part of a team and individually with minimal supervision.
* Prepare and execute presentations to clients and other staff.
* Produce and review technical reports.
* Other tasks as assigned
* BS in Physical or Natural Sciences, Engineering, Energy, Public Policy Planning, or closely related field
* Exceptional verbal communication skills, with ability to present information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
* Strong writing skills and ability to produce and review technical reports.

Required Driving Statementcolor
This position requires a current valid driver s license and clean driving record.
* Prior internship and/or work experience in renewable energy or energy efficiency.
* Understanding of energy performance contracting is a plus. Experience with residential or commercial construction is a plus.
