Job Description:

Prudential has an exciting opportunity for a results and service oriented individual to lead one of our Case Installation teams within Group Insurance Employer Services. This position is responsible for the daily leadership and direction of team up to 20 associates who handle installation of new business, add issue, and client level policy/plan changes across all lines of business to include; Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Disability, FMLA, Critical Illness and Accident across all market segments. This individual will manage all aspects of the Case Installation team and ensure superior customer service is provided to our customers in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Under direction of the Customer Service Manager, serves as the front line supervisor responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team of 15+ employees

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates workflow; organizes workflow of associates to provide the most effective and efficient service in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Manages and monitors productivity levels and ensures quality, service levels, key performance indicators, and customer performance guarantees are attained

  • Has full supervisory responsibility including performance management, coaching, development, and training; assists in talent recruitment and makes hiring recommendations for approval by the Customer Service Manager

  • Recognizes opportunities to optimize efficiencies and cost controls; recommends changes that will improve overall operational performance

  • Partners with other Managers and continuously reviews operating procedures and leverages best practices to maximize efficiencies

  • Proven ability to motivate employees and create a culture that supports high employee morale

  • Stays updated on industry trends and regulations and ensures compliance with areas such as Private Health Information (PHI)

  • 5+ years experience in Insurance or financial services preferred

  • Proven leadership and change management skills; team orientated and a proactive and optimistic management style

  • Demonstrated experience managing and balancing multiple, competing priorities

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to solve complex problems and improve quality and service

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of interacting with all levels of Prudential associates

  • Strong problem solving and resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and implement change

  • Ability to effectively communicate organizational objectives to associates and coordinate work efforts

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Demonstrated experience managing in an Operations environment preferred

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred; MBA or advanced education a plus
