Legrand has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to join the Pinnacle Team in Denver, CO. The Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for manufacturing support of and design modification of Architectural Lighting Products. Their role will be critical in troubleshooting issues in production, identifying the root cause, and making design modifications or executing projects to complete the corrective action. They will work closely with manufacturing to write standardized work and improve processes. Interpersonal skills are critical to develop a strong relationship with shop employees and foster their engagement with projects. Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 1 yr of experience as a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer supporting the manufacturing of and design modification of a product and utilizing Solidworks.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 yrs of experience as a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer supporting the manufacturing of and design modification of a product and utilizing Solidworks

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • AutoCad proficiency preferred

  • MRP/ERP system knowledge is a plus

  • GD&T preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude desired

  • Microsoft office suite utilization

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from design to delivery

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills

  • Deals well with ambiguity

  • Experience in lighting industry a plus

  • CNC programming/fabrication machinery knowledge preferred

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Improve upon existing processes to increase productivity and reduce development timelines

  • Evaluate existing products to decrease cost and increase manufacturability

  • Improve and maintain individual component/assembly drawings and routings for new and existing products

  • Create and maintain supporting documentation for existing and new product offerings

  • Provide troubleshooting engineering and advanced fabrication support to manufacturing

  • Provide engineering support in design changes, as required and support ECR/ECO/ECN as they relate

  • Create shop wiring diagrams to improve assembly accuracy

  • Work with vendors to modify parts and achieve cost reductions
