Responsible for managing the evaluation, measurement, monitoring and control of Finance Shared Service (FSS) projects to implement transformational process enhancements through technology projects and the use of proven methodologies including process re-engineering, Lean and Six Sigma. Manages all aspects of FSS projects from demand through successful project closure across various FSS end-to-end processes including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, cost and quality,. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior management and staff across the business to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then manage projects to bring our business methods in line with our financial goals. The ultimate goal is to ensure the finance shared service organization executes against its vision of continually driving efficiency and effectiveness into every process we touch.
Key Duties / Responsibilities - Essential duties are identified by asterisks.
* Manage and execute against a portfolio of finance continuous improvement projects, using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to deliver measurable and sustainable business results. Manage project scope, tasks, deadlines, budgets and status reporting. 25%
* Analyze work flows within and across all departments to determine how the entire company can work better together. Lead discovery sessions to include requirements gathering and desired workflows to understand and document business needs. Develop and document improvement opportunities, implementation plans and training needs. 25%
* Own individual project engagements from problem identification to project execution (or as determined in scoping discussions). Anticipate critical issues and risks and takes responsibility for resolution. Actively and aggressively drive progress, identify obstacles, make course corrections and provide solutions, while maintaining appropriate levels of communication with internal business partners and stakeholders. Be a liaison between other business locations on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope. 20%
* Provide timely and accurate visibility into project performance via dashboard and analytic reports. Collect, analyze, compile and communicate project strategy, planning and progress information, including milestone achievement and goal completion to management. Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key, process focused objectives .10%
* Responsible for working with key finance business areas to identify enhancements and new solutions within SAP, Oracle, Essbase and other finance enterprise software packages to solve business problems. Responsible for maintaining close contact with finance leaders to ensure the solutions are delivering as expected and providing value to the end user. 15%
Build strong strategic business relationships and serve as an impartial consultant to internal business partners, understanding their needs and the broader business landscape. 5%

Education & Knowledge Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline required (Master’s preferred)
Proven history in improving business processes in a complex, multi-billion organization
Familiarity with multiple ERP systems, RPA, AI and other finance specific tools (Excel, Blackline, Essbase)
Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Access, Project, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong project management experience
In-depth knowledge and use of Continuous Improvement, Change Management and Six Sigma principles
Green Belt – Lean Six Sigma; Black Belt preferred
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
10+ years of professional experience working in complex business environment
Experience with business process re-engineering
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Successfully applied LSS principles in a transactional environment that led to process improvement/transformation
Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment
Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills
Versatile, dynamic, demonstrates initiative, results oriented, flexible and able to work under tight deadlines
Proficient in financial analysis and risk management
Experience developing KPI monitoring systems which in turn maintain/improve FSS operations
Proven change leader with experience leading projects across diverse business segments
Managerial courage and intestinal fortitude
Exhibit critical core competencies (collaboration, leadership, ability to influence, drive results etc.) Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills coupled with the ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives
Excellent eye for detail
Knowledge of forecasting and execution support related to resource management, planning, and cost analysis
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Ability to create an analytical process that justifies business decisions
Experience working in a large, multiple process shared services organization\
Strong demonstrated analytical, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
Superior influencing capabilities
Demonstrated success building cross-functional networks and stakeholder management
Sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex business problems.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

No direct supervisory experience. Must be capable of leading small teams to meet project objectives
