Job Description: Description: The Senior Analyst works with business owners, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and other Requesters of services to translate requests into clear and actionable conclusions. This involves many tasks including the facilitation of tasks to understand the objectives of the business owner, retrieval of data, organization of data into information, interpretation of data and its meaning and the ultimate conclusion of business directives derived from the analytical activities. Additionally, the Senior Analyst may drive or manage multiple analytical requests or oversee a body of work assigned to Analysts. Specific responsibilities of the analyst include, but may not be limited to: Act in a coaching / mentoring role for Analysts and/or Data Delivery Specialists. Oversee analytical and reporting services within his/her scope of work. Serve as a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) to consult with business owners on the data itself. Support departments and interdisciplinary groups by facilitating the acquisition of data and information needed to drive Regional and operational decision making and process improvements. Actively participate as a project team member if requested or required (for Quality Workgroups or other strategic initiatives). Obtain, analyze, organize and interpret data into actionable findings, recommendations and conclusions. Facilitate report production or data process development required to meet business needs. Assists in information systems programming including the design and management of data sources. Assist in distribution of report deliverables based on client need including intranet web postings for easy client access. Document business learning's and actively work to share knowledge across analyst pool. Identify and communicate data gaps in the organization. Maintains a broad spectrum of knowledge regarding business processes and the underlying systems and data sources that support these processes. Perform duties with minimal to no supervision.
Analytical Services - Facilitates and drives the provision of analytical services to meet the needs of the customer. Provide data content expertise as it relates to data systems, sources and business processes. Demonstrate problem solving skills to identify the data needs required to meet the objectives of the business. Translate operational business needs into information requirements; documenting those requirements that can be met and identifying those which represent gaps in our data sources. Plan, organize, and design reports or tracking systems for clinical processes that range from preventive health to disease state management. Organize results, conclusions and recommendations for presentation to clients and/ or senior management for approval. Exhibit problem-solving skills to drive to solutions. Demonstrates highly effective communication skills including interacting with people at all levels of the organization to ensure open information gathering and feedback to analysis. Project management: ability to coordinate multiple tasks and lead assigned projects to stated objectives. Master complex software packages to perform SQL interface programming as well as relational query writing across data sets. Knowledge of database design within data warehouse as well as other data sources should be applied to improve data processing efficiencies. Demonstrate experience with consolidating data in a cross functional environment (i.e. from multiple data sources including membership; claims/encounters; pharmacy; lab; radiology and provider). Clinical process analysis and implementation of technical improvements in report development or automation. Demonstrated experience with relational databases and understanding of potential causes of data quality issues.
Coordination - Works as an integrated team member within the Health Care Delivery Analytics Department. Actively participates as a project team member for assigned Work Groups related to clinical or other ALT prioritized strategic initiatives. Consulting support includes facilitating information requirements to assist with operational decision making, prioritization and process improvements. Works directly with data pull and report writing resources to ensure data requests within projects and analytical requests are clear, concise and representative of the requester's needs and objectives. Promotes integration of departmental and organizational skill sets to ensure standardization and integrity of reporting and analysis.

Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum three (3) years of academic or relevant work experience to strongly demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: Data collection and management, data statistical analysis, data interpretation/consulting skills, problem solving skill, communication skills, data interpretation/consulting skills, interpersonal skills and group facilitation skills. Education
Bachelor's degree required in IT, business, statistical, accounting, management or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration
Experience of using rational database and end-user tools (e.g.SQL language) to access data and create reports.
In-depth familiarity with the corporate data environment / data warehouse structure
Experience in managing multiple requests and directing the work of others.
Proficient in MS office (word, excel, Powerpoint).
Experience with Healthcare delivery or managed care organization.
Experience of using data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Experience of using Microsoft SharePOINT.
Database or data collection form development.
Minimum three (3) years of SAS experience or with SAS certification.
Master's degree from accredited university / college in IT, business, statistical, accounting, management or related field.
