We are looking for an Agile/DevOps Transformation Lead. Our organization is undergoing a multi-year effort focused on transforming the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from a Waterfall to Agile process, inclusive of DevOps and Cloud initiatives that support the SDLC transformation. This role is key to our overall transformation.
You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and evangelizing the culture, practices, processes and tools that enable the business of software development and operations. We need someone who has a deep understanding of Agile and the various points at which development and operations could be improved by better process improvement, tools, automation and metrics that can be gathered to improve our transformation.
You will partner with business stakeholders, architects, application developers and technology leads to define and implement the appropriate tools needed to support our transformation efforts. You will develop expertise on the current systems to push the boundaries of what can be done more efficiently. We need a person who can innovate, collaborate and influence while keeping up with industry trends and partnering with co-workers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establishing and leading a Centre of Excellence on Agile / DevOps practices within the PGIM Investments Technology department

  • Establishing and managing a multi-year program of Agile / DevOps adoption and a culture of continual improvement across our projects and application teams

  • Educating and convincing our business units of the value gained from active participation in Agile / Lean methodologies

  • Establishing training curriculum suitable for all team participants

  • Uniting software development (Dev) with production and operations (Ops) into a single, integrated, and continuous Software Development Life Cycle

  • Partnering with infrastructure teams to drive infrastructure improvements to better facilitate Agile / DevOps. You will also partner with these teams in the delivery of critical metrics and dashboards that demonstrate adoption and productivity improvements including summarizing at a product team, department and divisional level

  • Ownership of the continuous integration, system infrastructure, monitoring and performance optimization

  • Become a go-to person for developers and operation teams on Continuous Integration / Delivery implementations

  • Helping evolve our existing architecture and adhere to standard methodologies and corporate standards for continuous delivery

  • Driving Technology-wide initiatives to significantly improve our testing and test environment management practices

  • Reporting adoption and productivity improvements to Management


  • Master?s or Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

  • Financial Services experience (Mutual Fund background preferred) with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects on-time, on budget and within scope

  • 7+ years of overall experience with an emphasis on information technology

  • 5+ years of experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and within an agile project team

  • Certified Scrum Professional/Master with over 5 years of experience leading scaled Agile initiatives

  • 7+ years of experience leading transformational multi-functional IT initiatives

  • Ability to use industry standard build tools including: Maven, Ant, Gradle, MSBuild, Npm etc.

  • Continuous integration and automated deployment experience for multi-branched, multi-module projects using Jenkins or similar tools

  • Solid focus on code quality, related analytic tools and integration with Sonar

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as the xUnit family of testing tools and functional testing tools such as Selenium and WebDriver

  • Experience developing solutions using automation tools like Ansible and Puppet

  • Balancing multiple projects and collaborating closely with other development teams

  • Influencing skills that truly build commitment, cooperation and high performance

  • Superb communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with Cloud computing concepts (private, public and hybrid) a plus
