Under the direction of the Manager of Audits & Denials, the Revenue Integrity Analyst will provide analytical support to resolve various high exposure operating and finance issues across the BMC enterprise. Lead projects and assessments to resolve problems identified by the Manager, Director and VP. Creates a positive, constructive, and supportive relationship between the hospital departments and personnel needed to resolve issues.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
With Manager oversight, develop work plans and lead project timelines to complete assigned projects in the most timely and efficient manner possible Perform various assessment, analytical research and support including, but not limited to: root-cause, analyses, cost/benefit analyses, and financial projection Lead workgroups initiated from problem assessment to identify obstacles that jeopardize the success of the group and effectively communicate issues upward Synthesize status and results of assigned projects and maintain critical communication with team members throughout the project. Must effectively communicate issues and results via multiple media including in-person meetings, workgroups, verbal communication, email and presentations. Collaborates effectively with diverse groups of people and various service departments throughout the organization. Ensure projects are implemented with proper oversight and perform subsequent reviews/audits after implementation to ensure project goals are achieved Meet regularly with manager to provide status of efforts Maintain professional skills and knowledge through attendance at in-service programs, conferences, workshops and other educational programs and review of current literature. Prepare activity metrics as required. Utilize Hospital's Core Values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate hospital mission. Follow established hospital infection control and safety procedures. Perform other duties as needed and required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Healthcare related field required, Master’s degree desired
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Epic Certification Strongly Desired
Five + years minimum recent experience in healthcare auditing, coding, finance, revenue cycle management, patient accounting and/or physician billing, preferably in an Academic Medical Center setting.
