Job DescriptionDevelop, improve, operate, and document a variety of complex actuarial models. Perform actuarial, financial, and risk analysis, and communicate the results to others across the company. Serve as the subject matter expert in assigned projects and may have an expanded scope and responsibility within a project. May also have leadership responsibilities for lower level actuarial staff and/or an intern.Responsibilities
Provide technical analysis and support by developing, improving, operating and documenting a variety of complex actuarial models. Begin to apply business insight in designing of models, modifying to meet individual situations.
Perform actuarial, financial, and risk analysis, and communicate the results effectively to leader and peers across various functional groups.
Serve as the subject matter expert in assigned projects and may have an expanded scope and responsibility within a project.
Professionally accountable for statements of actuarial opinion (SAO). May have accountability of the validation and development of business controls.
Provide people leadership to actuary staff. Manage performance, seeks professional development opportunities and provides the coaching and feedback necessary to have a high performing team.
Professional development to maintain Actuarial credentials.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or related disciplines.
3-5 years of actuarial experience that demonstrates continued increases in responsibility.
5-6 actuarial exams completed, progressing to ACAS/FCAS (Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designations.Preferred Qualifications
