SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Landscape Specialist is responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance activities. This position is responsible for all zones within the Turf and Grounds Department of Razorback Athletics. The Landscape Specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the landscape and ornamental beds within the athletic department grounds.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

* The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
* At least four years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related area, including one year in a supervisory capacity

* Hands-on experience with planning, designing, landscaping, and maintaining ornamental beds
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
* Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in landscaping and grounds maintenance
* Ability to supervise the work activities of subordinate employees in landscaping and grounds maintenance
* Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment
* Ability to maintain records and estimate landscaping and grounds maintenance needs

The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment., The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, etc).
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside., The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity., The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity., The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level., The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body., The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
