Job Description:

The Sr. Manager Competitive Intelligence leads the development of a new, internal Competitive Intelligence program that guides across all major business functions mission critical decisions relating to the changing dynamics across the wireless infrastructure landscape.  The Sr. Manager drives data-driven and dynamic visualization-based recommendations that will enable key stakeholders to be more efficient, targeted, and strategic in their day-to-day decisions regarding the portfolio.  The incumbent works with teams across the Company to define, gather, analyze, and distribute intelligence about the Company’s portfolio of assets and competitors to enable market-based assessments of portfolio performance, guide targeted, data-driven interventions, and track progress of all market and competitive intelligence activities.
The Sr. Manager will lead a team of high-performing Analysts to drive the development of an internal system that acquires competitive data at scale, enables a large range of comparative analytics, and identifies the highest impact areas for improvement.  The incumbent must deploy a pragmatic, quantitative, analytical approach and be highly attuned to technology-driven solutions and process management.

Develop and align the organization around an integrated and continually updated vision for the competitive intelligence program
Drive the development of the competitive intelligence program roadmap to balance and meet the needs of a broad range of internal stakeholders; disseminate regular updates
Serve as internal subject matter expert on all facets of the competitive intelligence program
Work with a dedicated team of Competitive Intelligence Analysts to develop competitive intelligence data assets by driving continual improvement on completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and reliability
Translate high-level business projects into detailed technical deliverables and project manage to completion
Manage the team to ensure competitive data is processed and utilized efficiently and effectively
Deliver an ongoing stream of product innovations that improve key performance indicators (“KPIs”) related to the scale, scope, frequency, and reliability of competitive information to drive major business decisions
Ensure deadlines that unlock valuable new initiatives for the Company are met
Partner with key stakeholders to formulate innovative solutions and key insights for all intelligence-related activities
Communicate performance metrics to key executive stakeholders throughout the organization
Build, lead, and mentor a team of high-performing employees
Contribute innovative and strategic ideas to help shape a relatively new team while continuing to drive impact across the organization

Supervise and manage the performance of Analysts.
Create strong collaborative team environment.
Recruit, develop, and retain staff, partnering with Senior Management, Recruiting, and Human Resources.  This includes on-boarding and orientation for new hires.
Provide disciplined performance management for team.  Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources
Excellent leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results; ability to influence and inspire action through strong decision-making skills
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; ability to develop methodologies and assumptions, use data software to conduct the analyses, and synthesize findings to drive actionable insights
Strong understanding of information management, statistics, strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and market/marketing analysis
Solid strategic and problem solving skills that will effectively influence the decision making process
Proven ability to develop operational KPIs, utilize data to prioritize opportunities for improvement, and deliver real results
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing product development execution, from vision to deployment and ongoing impact optimization
Intellectually curious with a strong work ethic and proven ability to work in a time-sensitive and high volume environment
Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships.
Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.

Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in a quantitative field (e.g., math, finance, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.) preferred
Minimum 7 years' experience in product management, business analysis, and technology implementation, ideally in a consulting, business to consumer, or high complexity business to business market required
Prior experience working in wireless infrastructure industry with specific knowledge of the development, construction, leasing process, and/or regulatory environment preferred
Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and function formulas for data comparison) and PowerPoint required
Proficiency and comfort with SQL or other relational database query languages preferred
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.  Approximately 20% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
