The Department of Mathematics within the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences, seeks to hire a full-time Teaching Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The position is permanent, 9-month, full-time, and benefits-eligible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses in support of our baccalaureate program and service classes for other majors.
WVU Tech is a regional division of the West Virginia University system and is located in Beckley, West Virginia. WVU Tech is ranked first in the state for return on investment, and seventh in the nation in annual ROI for students paying in-state tuition. A minimum of a Master's Degree in Mathematics is required for Teaching Instructor of Mathematics. A minimum of a Ph.D. is required for Teaching Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential. An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching freshman level classes.

In addition to a B.S. in Mathematics WVU Tech offers a broad array of programs including a B.S. in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, and Computer Science. WVU Tech also offers four year technology programs (BSET) in Electronic Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology (Civil, Environmental, and Mechanical emphasis) and Industrial Technology.
