Location: Dalton, Georgia
The Director of Internal Audit plans and supervises all financial and information systems audits.
He/she evaluates internal controls, information systems and operating procedures.
The Director determines and recommends improvements in internal controls, financial reporting and implementation of systems changes.
He/she meets with Senior Management to discuss and implement system recommendations.
The Director also participates in many ad-hoc committees, investigates allegations of fraud and theft, and participates in the due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions.
The Director supervises a staff of financial and system auditors.
He/she provides hands-on training to staff members.
He/she develops an annual business risk assessment for the entire company.
He/she reviews the business risk assessment with Senior Management.
He/she develops and creates the annual audit plan based on the approved risk assessment.
He/she prepares annual reviews on all staff members.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience as a financial auditor or a systems auditor.
Must have extensive managerial experience and working knowledge of financial audits and internal controls.
He/she must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
He/she relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and requires excellent communication skills.
This position requires a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
8 hour, day shift
