As an intern in our Design Managerment Group you will have the opportunity to work with our professional design managers and have the opportunity to learn and grow with Flatiron Corporation. With guidance from our seasoned professionals you will be assisting with providing technical support the Technical Proposals in Design-Build and P3 projects in North America during the pursuit stage. Providing daily support to the Lead Pursuits Design Managers in a variety of functions from a coordination, administration, and planning perspective to ensure that due diligence is getting incorporated into the technical proposals. This will be a summer internship working 40 hours weekly from our Broomfield Offices.

  • Work as a member of the Lead Pursuits Design Mangement team providing daily support to the Design Managers
  • Have a friendly go-getter attitude and work towards goals as a member of the Flatiron corporate team
  • Monitor and provide support in the development of the Technical Proposals for all D-B and P3 projects in North America in direct contact with the Flatiron Design Managers and Division Design Leads to make sure the proposals are cost efficient, low risk and high quality
  • Plan and co-ordinate the activities of the design process during the Tender with the Design Managers
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records
  • Provide support to other areas of the Design Management Group whenever is required
  • Complete assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand civil engineering projects
  • A willingness to be a team player and be flexible as needs change
  • Familiarity with PC software packages typically associated with civil engineering. Highly computer literate in Excel/Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects
  • Highly motivated, flexible and proactive
  • High productivity, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach
