Job Description:

Assist and support the delivery of accurate, timely and effective HR communications to Charter employees and HR team members. Develops and executes communications on a wide variety of HR initiatives, managing several projects simultaneously. The coordinator will need to apply creative thinking, professional writing skills and functional HR knowledge to implement innovative and effective communication strategies that raise awareness and appreciation of our programs and increase understanding of programs and policies.


* Draft and edit engaging, clear employee communications for multiple channels, including print, web, and employee meetings

* Manage employee communication projects from initial writing to final production and distribution

* Day-to-day management and updating of content on internal and external websites

* Collaborate with benefits plan managers and teams to ensure alignment on key messages, channels and timing/sequencing, and technical accuracy

* Maintain and uphold HR branding in all materials and across channels

* Maintain annual HR communication calendar across all areas

* Lead the design and execution of the bi-weekly HR Hot Topics e-newsletter

* Manage other duties as assigned and support HR Communications team on special projects

Skills /Abilities and Knowledge

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

* Strong writing and oral communication skills

* Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build strong relationships within and outside the HR Communications team

* Solid understanding of employee communication principles and strategies

* Demonstrated experience with HR content area(s) a plus

* Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; ability to use web design software a plus

* Excellent project management and problem-solving skills

* Familiarity with online communication solutions and social media trends; ability to learn and use new technologies

* Able to take initiative; effective at prioritizing multiple projects /responsibilities; comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

* Ability to think creatively

* Results driven

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
