Cloud and Datacenter Business Unit of Maxim Integrated is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support existing products and new product development of semiconductors for optical module applications. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Perform product evaluation on optical ICs for datacenter and wireless base-station applications up to 400Gbps
Develop optical module reference designs and evaluation boards
Support customer designs of Maxim s products by lab test and on-site support
Generate product datasheet and application notes
B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years direct design/support experience in fiber optic communications industry
Design/customer support contributor in at least one 10Gbps fiber optic platform (SFP, QSFP etc)
Has worked in the lab environment using high speed optical test equipment
Additional experience with 2.5 to 25Gbps Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) is a plus
Strong fundamental electrical and analytical skills
Team player and able to take on tasks independently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Some travel anticipated to provide onsite customer support (
