Role Purpose:

Responsible for coordinating Physician and Allied Health Credentialing for all DePaul physicians and Allied Health Professionals. Enhances safety and physician satisfaction through the processing of initial applications and reappointment applications in a timely manner in accordance with Joint Commission, federal and state regulatory standards. Responsible for coordinating and attending Credentials Committee meetings and Medical Executive Committee meetings, taking meeting minutes and completing follow up actions including submissions to the Board of Directors. Processes and tracks initial and ongoing professional practice evaluations. Participates in Joint Commission, CMS and regulatory surveys. Works closely with the Vice President of Medical Affairs, Medical Staff President, Credentials Chair and Department Chairs.

This person will also give administrative support to the VP of Medical Affairs.

Minimum Requirements:

* High School or Equivalent

* Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) required or eligible to obtain within the first year of employment

* 3-5 years in credentialing
