The Assistant Director is responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel adhering to related standards and budget requirements. This position requires an intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing and surgical care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate, or otherwise present information in a written, auditory, or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for the position. Daily operations of departments and assisting Director with policies, budget,quality, culture, patient experience and staff evaluations.
Required Education: Graduate from an accredited college of nursing, BSN
Florida RN License
Surgical Services Experience with a minimum of 2 years charge experience
3-5 years in a leadership role in surgical services
