The School of School of Dentistry is a teaching clinic providing dental care to the community. There are 35, 000 patient visits in the clinic annually. There are 200+ student providers treating patients five days a week. The Patient Billing Unit (PBU) is comprised of four financial assistants (Administrative Assistants III - AA III). The PBU is the central billing area, responsible for dissemination of a central lockbox system for allocation patient revenue to the four departments within the school. This unit handles all aspects of the billing process, and is responsible ensuring the University of California Cash Handling Policy is adhered to at all times. This area is critical to the financial viability of the School of Dentistry Predoctoral Clinics.

Required Qualifications: High school graduation and four years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Dental Software experience
Knowledge of HIPAA
Microsoft Outlook Email, MS Excel , Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated three years of experience in Dental Billing / treatment planning
Dental Terminology / knowledge of dental procedures
Bi-lingual ( Spanish speaking )
