Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MIS is currently seeking an Intermediate Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to work out of their Orlando, FL office.

The ISD will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that conducts a B-52 Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-2251. The ISD (as part of the team) will implement the TSRA process to define training for all five B-52 aircrew positions: Aircraft Commander, Pilot, Electronic Warfare Officer, Navigator, and Radar Navigator. The TSRA development effort will be a collaborative process with Air Force Global Strike Command Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and will address all current and planned B-52 subsystems.

Duties and Responsibilities (t o include but not be limited to the following):


  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop the following: Mission Task Analysis Report (MTAR), Training Requirements Analysis Report (TRAR), Objectives Media Analysis Report (OMAR), and the Training System Basis Analysis Report (TSBAR).


  • Identify, analyze, and establish training requirements for all B-52 aircrew tasks.


  • Produce a Training Task List (TTL).


  • Perform a gap analysis of entry/exit aircrew Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes (KSAAs).


  • Participate in SME workshops for data collection purposes.


  • Allocate instructional strategies, methods, and media for all identified Terminal and Enabling Learning Objectives (LOs).


  • Analyze existing and similar training systems; identify training system strengths, deficiencies, and constraints; and provide recommendations for the proposed training concept.


  • Develop four reports containing analysis findings and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-


  • Secret security clearance (or the ability to get a Secret security clearance)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design or similar field (e.g., Education, Modeling & Simulation) and 5 to 7 years of experience; or Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design or similar field and 3 to 5 years of experience


  • Proficient in MS Office software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance

Preferred-


  • Prior experience with TSRAs or other training analyses (e.g., Job Task Analysis, front-end analysis, gap analysis, needs analysis)


  • Prior experience working on U.S. Air Force or other DoD/government contracts


  • Willing to travel

  • The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


  • A Secret level security clearance is highly preferred. Ability to obtain/maintain is required
