Summary: The material handling position will be responsible for loading and unloading of trucks. This position will also be responsible for the movement of material within the facility. This position requires a strong commitment to safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. 1. Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. 2. Full compliance with all safety inspections and safe work procedures for equipment. 3. Removes finished goods from the line and properly stores in designated areas. Maintains 6S and support daily battery maintenance by connecting to charger when not in use and refilling water as needed. 4. Removes returnable dunnage from the line after components are used and place in proper locations. 5. Responsible for inventory control using SAP/RF scanning system for components and finished goods. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials. 6. Ability to perform inventory count effectively. 7. Ability to load and unload trucks. 8. Complete daily pre operation checklist. 9. Ensures movements of product are accurate and free of damage. 10. Has knowledge and identification of BIN locations and production lines. 11. Assists in physical inventory. 12. Uses radio frequency equipment as required. 13. Supplies components to the line and perform accurate return to stock (RTS) transactions in SAP and accurate material movements to designated locations to ensure inventory accuracy. 14. Execute KANBAN material management for designated components. 15. Attends all required training. Responsible for training other material handlers. 16. Exhibits clear understanding and ensures compliance to thyssenkrupp logistics policies. 17. Responsible for 100% usage of WAVEX for all material movements including escalation procedure for weight failures. 18. Perform picking duties in an effective manner that meets customer service. 19. Follow FIFO by ensuring proper stock rotation and interpreting correct locations. 20. Has authority to stop processes to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, identify and place suspect product on quality hold, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes become non-compliant. - Supervisory personnel have been delegated the responsibility and authority to add additional inspection steps necessary to ensure product quality when processes become non-compliant. -Participates in daily S2QDC meetings and in one monthly safety audit (walk, audit, etc.)

Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understanding of metric system. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Technology and Equipment: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Integrated Business software. Use of Microsoft Office Suites software and Microsoft Explorer browser in a windows operating system as well as Outlook.
