The Systems Engineering & Validation Test Engineering Organization is seeking a highly-motivated, creative, ambitious, hands-on ground test engineer to support experimental military and commercial jet engine test activities. Responsibilities include providing technical direction and daily task coordination, multi-functional team leadership, troubleshooting, test stand direction, and execution of developmental and endurance testing. You will be expected to provide innovative solutions to test requirements, often in a high-pressure environment while working with minimum supervision. You will have the opportunity to join a talented and diverse multi-disciplinary organization while working with highly skilled hourly and salaried employees, as well as partners and customers. Supported programs including F135, APU, NGPF and Legacy Commercial

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience with jet engine hardware, assembly, and/or testing.

  • US Citizen, due to Government contracts

  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of engine performance and test data analysis.

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.

  • Self-motivation to plan required tasks and lead a team to achieve significant goals with little outside direction.

  • Flexibility to adapt to fluid customer requirements, priorities, and schedules.

  • Alternate Work Week (AWW) position designed to cover Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday, though candidate must be able to flex to weekday schedule as needed to accommodate training requirements and business needs.

  • Position requires regular travel to offsite test locations within the United States (TN, FL, etc) and occasional travel to test sites around the world.
