POSITION SUMMARY:


  • The Warehouse Worker I is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse. In addition, the incumbent will provide materials and supplies as required for all departments.
  • This job function directly ☒ indirectly ☐ affects product quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Receive raw materials and supplies from vendors.
  • Load and unload trucks using fork truck.
  • Maintain Receiving Log Book for all non P.O. items.
  • Distribute receiving paperwork as required.
  • Place received materials in designated warehouse areas.
  • Accurately maintain both systems (G.P. and WHP).
  • Distribute raw materials and supplies to various departments as requested.
  • Receive WIP materials from the Molding Department and move in system accordingly.
  • Distribute WIP material to Packaging as requested.
  • Filling out necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain manual count of non-inventory items.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts as directed by Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
  • Follow established company policies.
  • Follow all established safety policies.
  • Assist as necessary in any area of material movement as requested.
  • Provide material to the molding presses in a timely manner.
  • Follow mixing procedures and guidelines.
  • Fill out material pick list.
  • Follow scrap procedure.
  • Correctly identify all material properly.
  • Maintain clean work area.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:


  • Ability to pass a color blind test.
  • Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and fork truck.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a B.O.M./ Pick List.
  • Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Be able to communicate well with others.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • May be required to operate company owned or leased vehicles and trucks.
  • Must have safe driving record, valid driver license, and be able to pass DMV background check.
  • Ability to safely operate company owned or leased vehicles on public and private roads.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma/GED preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Limited temperature fluctuations, air condition environment
  • Exposure to general manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to sit for at least 4 hours at a time.
  • Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach with hands and arms several times a shift.
  • Possess a normal extended reach.
  • Consistently uses manual dexterity.
  • Have the ability to determine color acuity.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, ability to transfer/slide materials weighing up to 70 pounds from rack to waiver or lifting table, climb ladder and carry up to 30 pounds.
