Our Performance Marketing practice is leading the charge, increasing in size more than 1,000% over the past two years alone. During this time we have scaled to 75+ dedicated specialists, are managing hundreds of millions of dollars in client media and have been recognized by entities such as Ad Age, Search Engine Land, Ad Exchanger and others. Emblematic of our growth and sophistication, we are now seeking an ambitious, highly-experienced Performance Marketing lead to join our team largest team in Atlanta.  


Role / Purpose  
We are looking for a pioneering digital visionary to lead and help continue our rapid growth.  The SVP, Performance Marketing will oversee an integrated activation team spanning Media Planning & Buying, SEO, Technology, and Advanced Analytics.  The ideal candidate will be able to blend their own area of expertise with managing a high performing team of specialists to grow these practices both independently and as a combined capability.  The SVP, Performance Marketing will have responsibility for significantly increasing and providing optimal ROI for our key clients, working closely with counterparts from our Strategy, Creative, Tech, UX and Content teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Achieving exemplary ROI for clients across digital activation disciplines, generating award-worthy work and results 

  • Be an internal subject matter expert across paid media channels, with an emphasis on paid search, paid social, display?inclusive of programmatic buying, SEO and preferably digital TV as well

  • Ensure that the paid media team is deploying best-in-class strategy and execution of campaigns, aggressively testing to improve ROI and achieving desired results

  • Manage large, complex, multi-million dollar budgets and provide regular forecasting updates to drive ongoing staffing and technology decisions

  • Own c-suite client relationships that promote partnership and achieve business goals, expanding our footprint beyond execution and into advisory and consultative engagements

  • Recruit and onboard new talent as the practice expands and new client relationships are formed, ensure we are always leveraging best-in-breed technology and negotiating preferred pricing

  • Ensuring profound integration between our media planning, media buying, analytics, ad tech/martech, ad ops, SEO, content and UX teams to deliver programming and results better than any other agency

  • Generate thought leadership on behalf of the practice and actively attend industry conferences, contribute to articles, etc



KEY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proven track record (minimum 10 years) driving ROI for clients using superior digital media strategy and technology solutions

  • Proven ability to grow and lead cross-functional teams (paid, SEO, tech, analytics)

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the media ecosystem, spanning Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Retargeting, Video and Mobile. Email and Affiliate experience a plus

  • Experience with advertising technology components ? Adservers, DSPs, Tag Managers, Site-side Analytics, DMPs, etc

  • Strong knowledge of ? and experience with ? media measurement, with ability to recommend the right measurement and analytics solutions to clients based on use case; bonus points for omni-channel and online-to-offline experience

  • Excellent communication and client servicing skills including phone, email, in-person presentations

  • The ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Vision, passion and tenacity required to articulate and champion Edelman?s digital activation capability both internally and externally to ultimately accelerate growth




FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university.
