Job Description: FUNCTION & SCOPE: Reporting to the Team Lead of Human Resources Business Applications, this individual is primarily responsible for maintaining efficient functional design and operation of Oracle Payroll, HR and Time & Labor applications, Workflow Administration and related interface systems as assigned. The incumbent will serve on a team that is responsible for system development and functional implementation of upgrades and patches. This person will also diagnose and troubleshoot Oracle and interface system malfunctions and enhancements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Focus on business alignment and relationship building • Foster a solid working relationship ITS staff and other Human Resources and Payroll team members • Organize and facilitate meetings with appropriate staff to gain an understanding of their business processes and technology needs • Deliver reliable systems and business process improvements, and innovation • Participate as the Research Foundation representative on outside focus groups or committees • Critical thinker with problem solving aptitude and ability to take initiative • Ability to manage customer expectations and produce products that demonstrate results
Focus on solution design and delivery • Assist in developing and communicating business requirements • Assist in ongoing functional development of applications. • Monitor and work to resolution any issues encountered during Oracle Workflow processing. • Work closely with ITS Business Technology staff and the Team Lead in the design/development of effective technology solutions • Work with team on functional implementation of upgrades and patches; conduct gap analysis; coordinate testing; assist in setup and configuration. • Participate in meetings with appropriate staff to gain an understanding of business processes and technology needs. • Work closely with the Human Resources and Payroll team in the design/develop of effective technology solutions.
Focus on work management • Clearly communicate status of work being performed on behalf of the operational unit • Assist in the coordinating and communicating with various user groups in regards to significant events • Participate as an active team member • Conduct other duties as assigned

Requirements: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • A Bachelor's degree plus at least 3 years of experience with IT support systems and user technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge of Oracle E Business Suite - HR/Payroll functions, Oracle Time and Labor, Oracle Advanced Benefits and Workflow Administration • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint software packages. • High degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills, coordination and accuracy • Must be able to work independently and exercise judgment. • Commitment to a team-based approach, quality assurance and project management principles and methodologies
