General Accountant

This role will be responsible for performing a variety of standard accounting activities and ad-hoc projects. This person will perform accounting related tasks of a nature that will develop and enhance their experience and professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Your Responsibilities Your Profile

  • Record and reconcile all incoming/outgoing bank transactions and perform weekly cash flow projections

  • Responsible for intercompany invoice processing and issue resolution

  • Responsible for meeting card accounting and payment

  • Create and maintain certain master data for vendors and customers

  • Perform asset management functions, including capitalization, depreciation and retirement

  • Responsible for the accounting records, monthly reports, forecast and variance analysis of a small and separate business unit

  • Support compliance with Sunshine Act related data and reporting

  • Prepare and submit various government reports

  • Perform month-end closing processes, including journal entries, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts

  • Drive improvements and efficiencies in accounting processes and procedures

  • Cross-train and fill-in for other accounting functions as needed

  • Perform ad-hoc account analysis, reporting and accounting projects as assigned 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

  • ​2-3 years of Public accounting experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system required
