Solution Architect Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity
The position reports to the Smart Energy Solution Architects Leader, North America. In this role, you will be responsible for pre-sales support for a portfolio of existing and newly created Smart Energy, Smart Metering and Smart Grid solutions, including core AMI and Advanced Analytics solutions, and related service business to new and existing customers. As the Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for supporting with technology and industry expertise strategies, tactics, and processes leveraging Honeywell and Third Party hardware and software based solutions to solve new customer's most critical business problems. The Solution Architect will provide support to Sales Account Managers in the coordination of sales process tasks for multi-million dollar opportunities. You will assist in scope development with the customer, up-selling additional scope where possible, to include high level design, systems integration definition and proposal support.
Provide technical insight, design and operational options in support of sales pursuits.
Provide vast technical knowledge and experience to help close high level sales.
Develop and deliver technical training on new technology for sales professionals and external customers.
Responsible for demonstrations and technical positioning of our solutions against customer needs and requirements.
Support bid response, functional system review, competitive comparison and review for accurate estimates and new applications of technology.

5+ years of technical experience in the electric utility industry including direct customer engagement
Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study, MBA preferred
Establishes and builds credibility quickly
Can clearly articulate technical value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customer's needs and drivers
Balance and persistence in customer follow-up
Utilization of effective problem-solving skills
Demonstration of effective questioning skills
Management of time and demonstration of self-discipline
