Job Description Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Senior Autonomous Software Engineer for Software Solution Services in Minneapolis. Your role is to participate in global cross functional project teams. Main responsibilities will be to facilitate development of specifications with internal and external customers, take part in machine start-ups at customer sites and participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Safety Analysis and Hazard and Risk Assessments. You can expect approximately up to 10% travel activity per year and sometimes your flexibility is needed as you work with people globally. The preferred candidate has experience with Applied Robotics, Robotic Operating System (ROS) and with programming languages used in Autonomous Machine Development, including: C, C++, Python, and Simulink. As a person you are goal oriented, highly self-motivated, open-minded and good at interacting with others, across borders and cultures.
Background and skills To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics from an accredited college or university, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills and understanding of machines, sensors and software.
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent
3+ years of autonomous or robotics software experience including knowledge of software processes, design and test practices
Fluent in C/C++, and/or Python as a plus
Working within OpenCV and Point Cloud as a plus
Good English language skills in speaking and writing
