FLIR Systems 2019 Summer Internship Program
We are seeking highly motivated college candidates who are interested in a hands-on experience working in a fast paced, dynamic, team environment. We are the world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of thermal imaging infrared cameras and systems and offer a unique intern experience working alongside highly talented and innovative engineering teams. Our intern roles are full time, 40 hour/week three-month paid summer programs for college students enrolled in a four-year engineering program. Most roles require students to be entering their junior and senior years or students graduating in the Spring of 2019. Candidates with prior summer internship or co-op experience are preferred. Students must be enrolled in a specific degree program for the role for which they are applying (see individual intern job summary for types of college majors requested.)

Job Summary: Electrical Engineering Summer Intern Role
Project Details: This engineering intern will be responsible for three technical projects.
1) Design circuit boards supporting engineering prototypes, test fixtures, and sensor evaluations.
2) Develop of scripts to automate design verification testing (DVT) and use these scripts to complete DVT.
3) Design digital logic using VHDL to support DVT and production Board Test.
Equipment Used: Engineering computer, Xilinx Vivado software tools, Mentor Graphics schematic capture tools, Xilinx reference boards.
Desired Qualifications: Electrical Engineering student currently enrolled in a four year engineering program or seeking a masters degree. Students entering their senior year with an intent to earn a master’s degree are preferred or current master's students. Candidates should have experience with FPGAs, VHDL, C++/C/Python. Candidates must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
