Job Description:

Our Government Services practice is at the forefront of disaster recovery efforts nationwide with one of the most experienced and innovative teams anywhere.

The Associate within Government Services performs essential tasks for the timely analysis and processing of documentation required by federal regulations associated with the monitoring of expenditures related to disaster recovery grants.  The Associate must be a critical thinker who is detail oriented and unafraid to challenge the status quo.  The Associate position could require up to 100% travel, as our project sites are located across the country. 


  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field

  • Minimum of one (1) year in a professional office setting is preferred

  • Financial management experience is a plus

  • CPA is preferred but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • FEMA voucher review

  • Learn the intricacies of Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation grant programs

  • Communicate with recipients of federal grants related to disaster recovery

  • Review, analyze, and compile documentation provided by grant recipients

  • Test documentation provided to ensure grant scope was followed in anticipation for the receipt and/or disbursement of Public Assistance funds

  • Analyze results of testing to determine whether or not a variance found should be reported as a compliance finding

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, and temporarily relocate to a project site if needed

  • Learn all new technology introduced by the Firm as appropriate for the practice area

  • Other duties as assigned
