Class B Delivery Driver - Lubricants - Summary:

Wilson Oil Inc. dba Wilcox & Flegel Oil Co. is looking for a Delivery Driver at our Eugene, OR, warehouse. Operates a Straight Truck to deliver lubricant products, both bulk and various package styles to Company-owned sites and consumer customers. Is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of his or her vehicle, within Company policy. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Loads and unloads tanker/totes with lubricant products, both bulk and various package styles adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.

  • Operates box truck and stake bed trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws. Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.

  • Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.

  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, keep nozzles and other related articles as necessary.

  • Performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.

  • Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items.

  • Reports any equipment malfunctions/concerns to Warehouse Manager and/or Fleet Manager.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading of vehicle and use spill kits and fire extinguisher.

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform specific tasks as assigned by Warehouse Manager

  • Give all customers prompt and courteous service and use tact and diplomacy in dealing with Wilcox & Flegel Team Members and guests at all times.

  • Promote and support Company image standards.

  • Adheres to all city, county, and state regulations.

  • Follow the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with Warehouse Manager.

  • Stay familiar with the Company Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensure Warehouse Manager is made aware of any operating discrepancies.

  • Properly posts and verifies all hours worked daily.

  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s license with tanker endorsement.

  • Current MVR detailing driving record within Company standards.

  • Meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements, pass substance abuse screening and agree to random substance abuse screening as required by Company Policy.


  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of Commercial driving experience, Class A or B license

  • Must have a clean DMV record with no more than two moving violations within the last five years

  • Must possess a current Department of Transportation medical certification.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Class A or B driving history of no less than two (2) recent years is required to obtain and maintain this position.

Language and/or Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to speak and communicate using devices supplied by the Company.

  • Able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records.

Mathematic Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Abilities:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
