SUMMARY

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, receives, issues and maintains stock materials in storeroom.  Operates the computer to input transactions and ensures proper inventory control.  Complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations. This is a Monday-Friday, day shift position with potential weekend coverage during shutdown.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 


  1. Perform daily workplace exams and other required HRP documents.
     

  2. Receive and put away shipments of plant supplies and parts, enter transactions in Bentley software and print and file applicable receiving documents.
     

  3. Unload and load trucks and interact with drivers, ensuring their compliance to AGC safety standards
     

  4. Prepare returns and other shipments as needed.
     

  5. Accurately issue materials to work orders in Bentley
     

  6. Maintain storeroom organization and cleanliness by regularly cleaning storeroom and maintaining part labels.
     

  7. Monitor and maintain inventory on various non-vendor managed products
     

  8. Perform periodic inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory as required.
     

  9. Trains to provide backup to Storeroom Supervisor as needed.

 


  1. Escorts truck drivers while unloading gas and fuel.
     


  2.     REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
     
    High school graduation or equivalent preferred.  One to two years related experience preferred.
     
    Ability to operate forklift, Sky Track, skid steer, 2-wheel dolly and various hand tools used in storeroom activities.  Ability to read, write and understand written instructions, signs and warning labels.  Ability to communicate verbally with storeroom customers in a clear manner.  Knowledge of and ability to use the computer equipment. Must have knowledge of mathematics and an understanding of accounting regarding departmental and operations charges. Must have decision making ability regarding priorities in storeroom transactions.  General knowledge of mechanical and electrical products.  Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to pay close attention to detail without errors.
     
    At times will be exposed to ambient weather conditions while working outside for long periods of time.
     
    Work requires a moderate amount of mobility throughout the storeroom that can be performed by walking.  Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb step ladders.
