The Sales Porter is responsible for safeguarding and maintaining the vehicle inventory of the dealership in a clean, orderly and presentable manner as well as moving vehicles as needed and displaying them in the showroom and dealership lot to be seen by customers.
Conducts daily vehicle visual inspections and report any visual damage or missing accessories to the Sales Manager.
Ensures that all vehicles are properly cleaned inside and out and filled with a full tank of gas. (New Car Porters Only)
Moves vehicles in and out of the showroom for display and maintain cleanliness of the vehicles in the showroom on a daily basis. (New Car Porters Only)
Assists with the transportation of vehicles to and from West Kendall Toyota, Lexus of West Kendall and Kendall Collision.
Ensures that vehicles needing jump starts or battery replacements are taken to the Service Department.
Ensures trade-ins are moved into the designated areas prior to the vehicle being serviced and that all vehicles have visible stock numbers on the windshield. (Used Car Porters Only)
Ensures that all trade-ins are taken to the Service Department for inspection. (Used Car Porters Only)
Place flags on each UC vehicle, stick price inside vehicle, put price on front windshield, place license plates. (UC Porters)
Drive UC up on ramp for showcasing outside. (UC Porter)
Man all UC lots: UC Display along 137th AV & 136 ST, Auction Lot (S. FLA) and Auction vehicles going to Orlando located on 2nd floor Service Dept.
Identify UC needing to be photographed for internet advertisement, and place slip inside vehicle once photo has been taken.
Ensures that vehicles are safely secured in the event of an impending hurricane or other severe weather condition that could adversely affect the dealership’s vehicle inventory.
Confer with UC Mgr all fresh trade ins: to identify if sent to auction or service
Auction: label veh with ID auction number and park in designated area
Service: deliver vehicle to Reconditioning mgr in service dept and f/u.
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid and unrestricted Florida driver’s license with no Type A violations in the last three years based on violation date, a maximum of two Type B violations in the last two years based on violation date and must be able to drive vehicles with a manual transmission.
Ability to read, communicate and comprehend simple instructions effectively.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions.
