As a Sr. Manager – Distributor Human Resources with Gallo Sales Company, you will be responsible for leading human resource professionals that provide HR guidance and support to multiple business functions. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of HR based programs and projects, ensuring that assigned client groups are receiving the strategic support that they need to operate efficiently as well as effectively. This role will include managing the Human Resource Planning process (ensuring that employees are identified for development) and providing HR services for senior level employees (sr. directors and vice presidents).

What You Will Do


  • Partners with the client group leadership team to assess the effectiveness of the organization in terms of leadership, communication, and organizational design.

  • Functions as a senior leadership team member for the client group Collaborates with the department senior leadership team and executive leadership to develop and leverage leadership goals and objectives that drive business strategy.

  • Provides expert advice in developing and implementing solutions designed to address the needs of the client group.

  • Manages union contracts, including gathering input from internal experts in HR (labor relations, total rewards, etc.) preparing negotiating authority and reviewing with ELT members, liaising with outside counsel on non-economic terms, acting independently at the bargaining table with finance and union staff and ultimately achieving a ratified contract.

  • Supports employees in multiple satellite locations, including ensuring compliance and employee relations at multiple locations. Accountable for talent acquisition, including significant sourcing, cross-functional recruiting, temp agency management, requisitions, dispositioning, etc.

  • Accountable for Gallo Sales Leadership Development Program (formerly MD), including – identification, recruitment, onboarding, training, rotation, development, career planning and ultimately winery rotation.

What You Will Need


  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 12 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

  • 3 years of supervisory experience

What Will Set You Apart


  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

  • 4 years of supervisory experience

  • Masters degree in Business Administration
