Job Description:


Position Purpose & Summary

The Branded Feed Supply Chain Excellence Manager will provide
leadership to the Feed Segment’s overall efforts in building world-class supply
chain capabilities that enable success in our business by operating in a safe,
responsible and sustainable way to deliver on the brand promise to our
customers across three growing product lines (Beef, Dairy & Aquaculture)
within CSSTNA.  This role will provide
leadership in development of a continuous improvement culture, enable processes
and systems using a comprehensive approach to support a highly integrated
supply chain system, ensure the continued development of core supply chain
capabilities within the Feed Segment, and enable digitalization and analytics
to sustain and provide further capability in a growing organization.

Principal Accountabilities

40%       Network
Design, Continuous Improvement &
Project Management: Identify, develop, execute & implement complex
projects and process improvements in the supply chain organization to drive
continuous improvement and enable growth across the organization.  Examples include changes in the way our
Supply Chain integrates at various stages from Plant Production all the way to
Customer Experience (eg. customer service, supply chain planning, sourcing,
plant operations and transportation & logistics).  Develop a strong understanding of customer
needs through building and maintaining internal & external relationships to
provide optimal service to our customers through delivery of the brand promise.


35%      Supply
Chain Strategy, Design, & Optimization:  Develop and implement a Supply Chain project
portfolio management process in support of strategy and continuous improvement
efforts across the branded feed organization Engage with product line leaders
to understand key supply chain/customer touch points.  Define and document precise actions and
behaviors required to deliver a dynamic and desired customer experience across
the organization. Ensure consistency and best practice sharing.  Manage supply chain ACI initiatives.  Provide oversight for motor carrier
operations, unit train system, export supply chain, and ingredient freight.


20%      Systems/Data
Management, Reporting & Analysis: 
Develop & utilize extensive supply chain knowledge to navigate
through data and technology challenges, upgrades and changes including but not
limited to supply chain leadership in support of project NEX and SAP
implementation.  Implement, analyze and
review scorecards and related KPI’s for multiple areas of the integrated supply
chain organization (e.g. Supply & Demand planning, customer service,
transportation/logistics, etc) Develop, manage and track project plans while
providing regular feedback to stakeholders.


15%      People, Talent, Budget Management & Other:  Coach direct reports and others to provide
support and buy-in on Supply Chain strategy and continuous improvement.  Remove barriers to ensure completion of
project milestones and influence stakeholders to take necessary action for support.
Develop knowledge and expertise of all supply chain related roles within the
organization. Drive and track cost reduction and efficiency where
appropriate.  Member of the business
leadership team.  Additional projects and
responsibilities as assigned.

 Education, Experience, Skills
Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical field
(supply chain management, engineering, business, finance or related)

Minimum 8 years business experience with at least 5
years in supply chain, process improvement, project management, or related

Demonstrated experience leading project work and change
management initiatives

Strong strategic and analytical skills; including
experience in process mapping, project & program management, implementing
and leading change

Ability to provide leadership and function well in a
team-based collaborative work environment

Proven problem solving & effective decision-making

Demonstrated high level of commitment to customer care
and related processes; relationship management

Demonstrated strong communication skills (written &
verbal) with internal/external customers and multiple levels within the

Results drive- ability to take initiative, drive
change, work with people, and to influence decision making across various teams
and multiple levels within the organization

Strong business acumen, knowledge of P&L, finance
& other metrics

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment, act with a sense of urgency and thrive in an ambiguous environment

Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Level degree/MBA

  • Broad end-to-end understanding of supply chain
    principles with deep expertise in network design and optimization

  • Experience with SAP

  • Knowledge of other tools (transportation, supply
    planning, demand planning, etc.) used to support supply chain execution

  • Six Sigma and/or Lean certification

  • Demonstrated experience leading project work in
    large scale projects

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification

  • Demonstrated ability and passion to learn and
    apply new concepts

  • Demonstrated experience innovating
