    You are:
    Detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Strong written and oral communication skills are required for this position as well as the ability to work well with little supervision. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, customer relation skills, and prioritization techniques to adapt to changing priorities.

    This role will sit permanently in Shelton, CT.

    You will:

  • Entry of new applications into appropriate system based on product type such as permit, shipping, or USPS postage.

  • Work with the bank, inside sales, and marketing to resolve any issues that may be preventing a complete credit review.Upon receipt of a credit decision, work with the USPS for the permit product (EasyPermitPostage) and/or shipping carriers for the shipping product (Shipping Payments) to establish the account set-up on their end enabling PB to be the funding source for the customer.

  • Resolve any issues which may be preventing account set-up with the USPS and/or Shipping Carriers

  • Work a series of critical daily reports that stem from incoming transactions that cannot be processed due to account issues or system changes needed. Account research and customer contact to resolve accounts with non-sufficient funds, system updates, and assistance from various business units/departments is required.

  • Process account consolidation requests within set SLA. In addition, generate reports to make sure consolidated accounts have the correct option sets.

  • Responsible for handling customer service inquiries via phone and email for the permit product such as billing inquiries, account-set-up status, process phone payments, etc. within normal business hours.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert resource for various departmental or functional issues which may be related to customer service or product issues.

  • Address questions/concerns from various business units within the company and assist in recognizing and troubleshooting problems.

  • Assist the customer care centers with escalated customer service issues for the Shipping Payments product.

  • Assist marketing and Business Integration with testing and implantation of new products or enhancements of existing products. Provide detailed information on outcomes, issues, and where there are opportunities to provide better value to the customer.

  • Work ad hoc projects as needed.

    Your background:
    As an Operations Specialist, you have:

  • At least a 4-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferred, such as finance or business related field is required along with at least five years of experience with financial products.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications including MSWord, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and email management systems (Lotus Notes/MS Outlook) is required.

  • The ability to learn and utilize new systems and applications is also required.
