Site Reliability Engineer - Application Support

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The team designs, builds and maintains systems at Equifax for both on premise and public cloud.

Responsibilities


  • Engage in and improve the whole life- cycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement

  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews

  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health

  • Scale systems sustainable through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity

  • Practice sustainable incident response and postmortems

  • Learn about and help maintain our automation tools

  • Develop automation for both public cloud and on-premises resources

  • Deliver repeatable, reliable systems using tools like Terraform and Chef

  • Participate in engineering and architecture

  • On-call pager duty

What makes you a good fit for this role?


  • 5+ years of progressive experience in complete SDLC

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or equivalent field

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services(AWS)

  • Experience with configuration automation tools (Terraform, Run deck, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack, etc.)

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins, Sonar Cube,Nexus etc

  • Using version control(Bit Bucket, Git or SVN)

  • Absolutely must be a team player (DevOps)

  • Boundless passion for technology and a willingness to learn and teach

  • Experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby. Java is preferable

  • Experience developing automation and monitoring tools for both public cloud and on-premises resources

  • Experience moving applications to the cloud and automate the CI/CD process

  • Experience with DevOps

  • Experience with spring or spring boot applications (Microservices)
