The Materials Supervisor will lead the team and work to enhance the Dealer experience regarding parts availability through invoicing for delivered parts. This role will also help support and drive projects to maintain overall parts growth within the region.
Role & Responsibility
Identify areas of required improvement and present plan to implement changes. Keep abreast of market conditions and changes within the supplier organization. Knowledgeable of assigned commodities and awareness of Company products. Align high level Parts Team goals and balance staffing needs to support the attainment of these project related activities
Evaluate, monitor and improve process across all aspects of the department. Minimize expediting time and costs for inventory issues Work across functional areas to ensure uninterrupted material supply. Support inventory strategies to meet our global inventory turns goals Document processes for consistency and training opportunities
Motivate & inspire the team to meet or exceed department metrics. Professional development and training opportunities for team. Coaching and mentoring of team members. Recruitment and selection of new employees, as needed. Communicate with management on areas of opportunity and risk
Communication & Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain external relationships with suppliers to aid in delivery of material. Develop relationships across all areas of the Parts business Effectively communicate with internal departments to foster positive and timely feedback on issues/actions. Effectively communicate with Parts Management issues/actions and department updates.
A mechanical and inventory control background preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience 2-5 Years
