The Power Equipment Direct team is looking for a User Experience (UX) Architect/Manager that will focus on generating, building and implementing new feature ideas for a seamless digital customer experience. While working with a talented design team, you will provide exceptional user experiences, in accordance with company standards, for both our customers and internal staff, lead our design research, and work closely with multiple departments throughout the product and development lifecycles.

Responsibilities:


  • Be responsible for the end-to-end design process, ensuring timely, detailed deliverables

  • Integrate usability best practices and process into business, research and design processes

  • Identify innovative opportunities to grow the brand and create experiences that improve the lives of our customers and associates.

  • Monitors and coordinates program from project initiation (creative briefs, product requirements) through delivery, interfacing with stakeholders on applicable matters.

  • Define use cases and UX requirements, storyboard, craft interaction flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications

  • Leads reviews of web and/or mobile design to ensure requirements are met and user interface standards are followed.

  • Generates time estimates for the completion of User Experience tasks and deliverables.

  • Facilitate internal and external usability and A/B testing initiatives, pre- and post-launch; synthesize results and suggest improvements to increase user adoption

  • Responsible for ensuring digital brand standards for other digital creative (banners, emails, etc.)

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in related field preferred

  • Up-to-date with the latest UX trends, techniques, and technology

  • Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques

  • Strong business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business results

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data and synthesize recommendations to come up with new ideas and experiment to find the best solution

  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps

  • Experience with mobile or responsive websites a plus.

  • Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently

  • Experience in the native design environment (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)

  • Experience with web-based analytic tools a plus (Optimizely, Google Analytics, etc.)

  • Experience turning ideas into workable code (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, etc.) a plus
