Description
UESI is looking for a Mechanical Shop Foreman to join our Fort Pierce, FL office. The Mechanical Shop Foreman is responsible for planning, scheduling, performing, directing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Report any unsafe condition or behavior immediately to your supervisor.
  • Be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and possible background check.
  • Comply with UESI's "Zero Tolerance" towards the use of drugs and alcohol. Reporting any suspected abuses to management.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain work environment safety, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to company safety policies regulations daily.
  • Train and mentor new and existing technicians, leading by example and attention to detail.
  • Routinely advises, consults and helps subordinates by prioritize and delegate tasks to employees.
  • Excellent mechanical and organizational capabilities.
  • Responsible for equipment repair schedules and records, including meeting any deadlines or requests by other employees.
  • Responsible for purchasing any necessary parts to complete repairs.
  • Oversee the loading / unloading of equipment headed to and returning from the field.
  • Document inoperable equipment, make repairs, or call in 3rd party mechanic as required.
  • Demonstrate dependability, thoroughness and excellent verbal communication skills.

Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified candidate must have a valid driver's license and retain a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language
  • Ability to write in English
  • Possess the ability to stand on your feet for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours a day.
  • Possess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material Variation of elevation 12" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.)
  • Possess the ability to climb and leave a ladder to a platform varying from 6 feet to 20-foot extension
  • Possess the ability to ride and work from a mechanical aerial lift or bucket truck up to a height of 100 feet
  • Be physically able to don, wear and operate personal fall arresting apparatus.
  • Be able to work at a height 6' or higher utilizing a Personal Fall Arresting System.
  • Be able to wear and work using GPI standard PPE, i.e. hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles
  • Be able to lift and or carry a weight of 30-50 lbs. (concrete inspection specimens and required equipment)
