Basic Function
We are seeking an I/E Specialist to join our La Porte Maintenance Team. The I&E Specialist is responsible and accountable for improving the reliability of IEA equipment by identifying reliability issues, performing root cause analysis and developing solutions to prevent future failures in a safe, cost efficient manner. Responsibilities also include capital project support, change of design packages, and technician training. The I&E Specialist shall be a technical resource for technicians when conducting routine maintenance and repair.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Identifies and resolves chronic and costly, repetitive equipment failures at the lowest possible cost
• Performs root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Implements solutions to equipment failures to ensure future failures do not occur
• Develops repair specifications for in-house and outside repair. Also, must audit outside repair facilities to ensure effective repair is taking place
• Provides capital project engineering and field coordination support
• Develops and implement MOC packages
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting equipment failures
• Serves as a trainer and a resource for training, skill development, and maintenance techniques
• Responsible and accountable for the safety and environmental practices of himself/herself
• Seeks and understands knowledge of HSE procedures, company procedures, and departmental procedures
• Communicates technician training needs to the Maintenance I&E Supervisor and/or Maintenance Training Coordinator for appropriate action to be taken
• Seeks out opportunities to create new work procedures or to update those in existence
• Serves and participate on committees dealing with safety investigations, policy and procedure development and other special groups designed to improve the work place environment
• Be a technical resource for technicians
• Stays abreast of current technology and repair techniques, and identify applications when applicable
• Develops repair specifications for in-house and outside repair. Also, must audit outside repair facilities to ensure effective repair is taking place
• Support AMS Site Initiatives and interface with AMS Specialist
• Update, review, and validate Preventive Maintenance (PM) Plans, notifications, and work orders\Create, update and review maintenance procedures / work instructions
• Review completed PMs for accuracy and completion, as needed, and verify no immediate further action is required; maintain and update appropriate PM plans and work instructions
• Support Obsolescence and Long-Range Plans, which includes identification of Bad Actor equipment and development of mitigation plans (i.e. AMS Site Initiatives, SIS/DCS, PLCs, and governor systems, etc)

Min. Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 years' I&E experience or 10 years' I&E experience in a similar industry
• Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as changing priorities
• Results oriented; problem solving ability
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
• Proficient computer skills
