The Assistant Director is responsible for working with the Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships on developing a strategy for increasing sponsorship and employee engagement in Jimmy Fund programs. This position will focus on recruitment of both sponsors and employee groups to participate in the full menu of Jimmy Fund opportunities, including the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, Rally for the Jimmy Fund, Running Programs, Jimmy Fund Golf and various special events.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collaborate with the Associate Director and one additional Assistant Director to achieve corporate engagement goals: sponsorship (cash and in-kind), employee engagement, and cause marketing partnerships;
* This position would recruit sponsors and participants for all units, i.e. Walk, Event Fundraising, Workplace Giving, Rally, Running Programs, Golf Tournaments;
* Develop an overall corporate pipeline of at least 800 companies per year from new and existing relationships with a focus on recruiting new sponsorships and team participation in Jimmy Fund events;
* Conduct a minimum of 300 Donor Visits;
* Support the planning and execution of an annual Corporate Partners Summit;
* Assist in creating programs to enhance both Dana-Farber Cancer Institute s and the Jimmy Fund s image in the community;
* Yield business that within three years is generating a sustainable $1 million across the Jimmy Fund Business Units.
Reports to Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships. Assist with management of interns, work-study students, temporary employees, and/or volunteers as appropriate.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s degree required. At least 5-7 years of professional fundraising, annual giving, and/or special events experience. Ability to secure visits with donors and engage donors in multiple activities. Direct solicitation experience. Preferred experience with constituent segmentation, analysis, and outreach.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Significant, quality work with donors and volunteers; excellent communication and human relations skills; strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail; leadership capacity. Must be able to juggle many projects simultaneously and be a highly motivated self-starter. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products necessary.
Workstation located in typical office setting. Some overtime required.
