Job Description:

Are you looking for a new challenge to drive and improve quality control testing with a chance to broaden your experience in analytical biochemistry in the arena of biopharm?  If so, this Associate Biochemist role could be a great opportunity to consider. As a Associate Biochemist, you will play an integral role in the continued success of our analytical laboratories.  You will learn to perform release and stability tests for biopharmaceutical products to ensure the quality and safety of the products we deliver to our patients.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • ·       Coordinate routine in-process biopharmaceutical materials, bulk biopharmaceutical ingredient, finished biopharmaceutical product and stability sample testing with testing labs.

  • ·       Conduct and documents routine compendial, chemistry, immunology and molecular bilology analytical testing for in-process, release and stability samples per SOP.

  • ·       Operate and mainatin QC laboratory equipment/instrument in a cGMP-compliant manner.

  • ·       Advanced knowledge in cGMP, CFR and other regulations in order to assure laboratory compliance. 

  • ·       Evaluate laboratory SOPs and recommend improvement opportunities to maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines. Develops or revises laboratory SOPs as required. 

  • ·       Assist in investigation and assay trouble shooting.

  • ·       Assist in compendia methods and other analytical method qualification/validation/transfer. Write protocols and reports as needed.

  • Meet safety lab requirements

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • B.S. degree in life science field required - Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology or other science field

  • 2 or more years of industry experience

  • Proven experience working in teams to improve processes or resolve problems using organizational effectiveness tools.

  • Experience providing Quality Control (QC) testing support to at least one value stream.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in a science field is preferred

  • Experience with HPLC. Waters/Empower is a plus

  • Experience in the GMP regulated quality lab
