The Vice President, Process Excellence and Transformation provides the coordination and oversight of all Operations Prcess Excellence functions, plans, activities in the regional organizations to drive improvements in speed and quality in Project Management.  This Chief Change Agent will create influence, strategy, and engagement with stakeholders to focus on goals, OU process simplification, capability enhancements, and overall scalability. This position will define with the overall organization the fundamentals of the end to end operating system, and for leading the organization in its systematic improvement.  This role will be a key member with our executive leadership teams in a variety of business units, in addition to interfacing with our KION Performance Excellence program.  

The VP, Process Excellence role responsibilities: 

  • Establish a system of continuous process improvement in the end-to-end project execution processes

  • Define and establish the company's lean culture

  • Successfully define work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness

  • Plan and coordinate the targeted continuous improvement actions of all functions within the COO organization

  • Provide strong execution backup and support to critical global projects, as required by need or requested by Regional leaders (i.e. build a global team of PM's, Systems Integration Managers and Installation/Construction management professionals)

  • Drive quarterly focus for key indicators

  • Consult with business leaders to establish priorities for high impact end-to-end processes requiring imrpovement

  • Analyze processes and apply lean thinking and methods to reduce variability, improve time and quality, and optimize cost

  • Map out project life cycle and identify opportunities for process improvements that achieve improvements in execution of projects

  • Coach leaders on change management strategies

  • Inspire, challenge, engage, develop and align all stakeholders

  • Develop organizational capability to drive a continuois improvement mindset

  • Identify and establish teams of high potential talent embedded in the business and lead these teams to implement process improvements in priority areas

  • Develop transformational though leaders to be embedded in the business

  • key interface with KION Performance Excellence team 

  • Interface with Internal Control function to ensure all processes are sufficiently controlled

    • Deep knowledge of Industrial, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance & HR processes including back-office functions

    • Ability to maintain a culture of employee engagement while coordinating cross-functional teams

    • Track record for managing international initiatives

    • Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders without authority

    • Ability to rally diverse stakeholders to a common solution with win-win outcome

    • International experience and ability to work with different cultures & language
